How did Sixonetwo come to be Range Rover Experts?
We have been interested in Range Rover styling for over 12 years, and our Managing Director has owned many Range Rovers over the years.
His love affair with the brand began back in 2005 when he bought one of the first Range Rover Sport models to launch in the UK. It was a Java Black TDV8 with ivory leather and 20" V Spoke alloys. It's stance was imposing and driving position was luxurious.
"Range Rover got so much right with the new Sport" remembers Mark. "The new era of cars from Land Rover from 2005 onwards was a move away from the more sedate L322 model, which itself was an improvement on the more agricultural feel of the previous Land Rover cars. As the main clientele was town & city dwellers rather than just rural customers, the urban popularity of the car gave us new ideas in personalising it's look".
So was born HAWKE Professional Vehicle Styling. Mark soon realised the push-fit parts to the car were easily replaceable with other parts to create a more distinct look that would appeal to those wanting their cars to stand out from the crowd. So started research and development into the new HAWKE brand.
The first HAWKE Saker wheel was devised with this in mind. A stunning seven spoke 22" design that embodied everything Mark was trying to achieve with the new brand. The wheel was a resounding success and in recent years has been adapted to the Saker 2 design which superceded the original Saker wheel.
Here's Mark's first Range Rover Sport with the new Saker wheel fitted for the first time. The wheels were his first ever sample set.
A range of front Grilles and Side vents were to follow. These formed the first HAWKE range of accessories.

After owning both a Java Black and Stornoway Grey 1st Edition car, Mark upgraded to the new 2010 shape Range Rover Sport in Bali Blue in late 2009. Mark's car is shown below with the HAWKE Chayton wheels in 22" fitted. This wheel has grown to become one of the most popular HAWKE alloy wheels.
Soon it was decided to try the bigger L322 Range Rover Vogue with Autobiography SE Design accessories. In addition to upgraded Front Grilles and Side vents, the model shown below also features the 22" HAWKE Hermes wheels in Gunmetal polished finish.
These vehicles all helped to develop the HAWKE accessories brand as exists today, but what was the next step....
As the trend for white Range Rover vehicles was about to break, arrived these two cars: Range Rover Sport L494 and Range Rover Evoque.
The stunning white and black theme made for a great photoshoot at sixonetwo's HAWKE HQ! The moody sky on the day made for an amazing backdrop! The models below are shown again on the HAWKE Hermes 22" wheels.
As news broke of the release of the Range Rover Sport SVR model, Mark was first in line to grab a car for HAWKE to develop. Here is the new arrival shown with HAWKE 23" Halcyon wheels in black.
